How we learn new behaviors
Dr. Carl G. Jung in his pioneering work, psychological types suggested that people have different psychological preferences, which give them a different perspective on situations. Knowing these types will improved your performance, communication and relationship:
A. We start out in life in a state of Unconscious Incompetence: We do not know what we do not know until someone takes the time to show us. The first step of progress in life is to realize that there are things we don't know.
B. We then reach Conscious Incompetence - we now understand there are a whole new world out there and a whole lot yet to discover. We are open to learning.
C. Conscious Competence - At this stage we have started learning, and when we concentrate we can demonstrate our new skills.
D. Unconscious Competence is when we do things naturally without having actually thought about it. Our sub-conscious runs the whole process.
